Angel joined our household in November of 1996, shortly after Sonny, and retired from breeding in 1999. Angel's name came from the fact that she was such a sweet little angel, with such a mild disposition and a
sweet little cry when she was looking for the other kitties.
As you can see, she is a little angel face! Angel is a seal point himalayan, which means her points are black, rather than gray like the blue point. Maybe now is a good time to tell you about the color naming.

The black gene has several expressions. It can be very light grey to very dark black.
If the color is gray, it appears more blue than black, thus you have what breeders call the blue point. If it is very dark, it is called seal point. A different, sex-linked gene codes for the red color. If the cat has red, it is called a flame point. If the red occurs with other colors, it has the effect of lightening or mixing with the other colors, creating cream variations, such as blue-cream or tortie points.
