Lovey is a tortie point (tortoise shell) himalayan who joined our household in November of 1997 from Katsation Cattery in Steger, Illinois.
Tim and Pat, while very fond of blue and seal points, wanted to add the potential for flame points, but still keep their cattery very small so that all of the cats can live underfoot. Since they intend to only keep one male to prevent all of that nastiness that goes with boys marking territory, and since they already have a blue and seal point female for variety in the black gene, a tortie point female was a very good choice to introduce variations with the red gene.
Lovey was retired in 2004, and has been placed in a good home.
